I’m a children’s book illustrator specializing in playful, colorful, emotionally expressive artwork for picture books and early readers. Having a knack for cozy characters and dreamy settings, my work blends soft realism with stylized charm, inviting children to explore whimsical, imaginative worlds.

Currently seeking literary agent representation.

About the Artist

Hello! I’m Indie Bloom — picture book illustrator, color-lover, and champion of cozy, heartfelt moments.

My work feels warm, playful, and full of small wonders — the kind that make kids giggle, parents smile, and editors take a closer look. I create art that feels alive on the page — characters you want to revisit, worlds you want to explore, and stories that breathe with emotion.

I believe every illustration is a little portal – where imagination blossoms.

Illustration Style

My illustration style feels like:

Whimsical worlds you can get lost in
🎨 Joyful colors that speak to young hearts
📖 Story sense in every spread
💛 Warmth that makes books feel like friends

I focus on character expression, narrative composition, and immersive page rhythm — with every illustration designed to tell a story, not just look beautiful.

Why I’m Seeking Representation

I’m excited to find a literary agent who loves stories as much as I do — someone who sees the magic in characters and the heart in every page turn.

My goal? To partner with an agent who enjoys collaboration, thoughtful career growth, and building a long-term creative journey together.

I am motivated, professional, and deeply passionate about creating art that supports meaningful storytelling.

More Than Illustration – I’m a Full Book Partner

Here’s a little secret advantage: before I switched my full-time focus to illustration, I spent 15+ years as a graphic designer which means I’m not just comfortable with image creation, I’m fluent in polished, professional book production too.

Here’s what I bring that few others do:

15+ years of graphic design experience
Expert-level Adobe InDesign skills — from layout to typesetting
Book layouts that look great and read great
Ability to deliver press-ready files if preferred
A smoother, more professional workflow from storyboards to final proofs

That means when you review my work, you’re seeing the full book experience, not just individual spreads. It makes collaboration easier, edits clearer, and production faster — which is a huge advantage in children’s publishing.
