About the artist

Indie Bloom is an illustrator whose work blends playful charm with a touch of magic. Her illustrations are colorful, whimsical, and filled with small details that invite young eyes to look closer. Inspired by nature, imagination, and the wonder of childhood, she creates characters, worlds and patterns that feel joyful, peaceful, and alive. Her approach is atmospheric, gentle, and imaginative. She believes illustrations are little portals — where imagination blossoms.

Drawn to the quiet magic of the natural world, Indie spends her time soaking in its colors, textures, and rhythms. When she began to slow down and truly listen — to the trees, the tides, the changing light — she started to rediscover herself. Nature became both her muse and her mirror, guiding her back to her art and reminding her of her life-long dream of illustrating for children.

From Story to Finished Book

Every detail matters—not just in the artwork, but in how a book is brought into the world. At the completion of each project, a full suite of professionally prepared files is provided for both print and digital use. Each element is carefully organized and thoughtfully delivered, ensuring a seamless transition from finished artwork to published book.

This fluid, end-to-end approach is part of what sets the work apart. In addition to illustration, full book creation is offered—guiding projects from early concepts through final, print-ready files. (For authors who already have a completed layout, illustration-only collaborations are also available.)

Indie illustrates completely by hand, using an Apple Pencil and iPad Pro. Working primarily in Adobe Fresco, she does not use any forms of AI to conceptualize, develop, or finalize her work. Final book layouts are assembled in Adobe InDesign.
